Barrette Outdoor Living Invests To Double Vinyl Fencing Capacity At Florida Plant

PLANT CITY, FL (February 8, 2021) – Barrette Outdoor Living recently announced significant investment in upgrades at its Plant City, Florida facility to double the production of vinyl fencing materials in 2021. This investment in equipment and manpower will significantly increase the speed in which product is able to ship out to customers.

As part of these upgrades, new state-of-the-art automated equipment including an additional extrusion line has been added in the plant to optimize efficiencies in the production process, allowing for faster production of vinyl fencing components.

GreenWays — Barrette Outdoor Living’s recycling program for pre- and post-consumer rigid PVC — also plans to double its recyclable material intake at the Plant City location. Through an expansion of partnerships with suppliers in 2021, the program expects to collect 4 million pounds of discarded PVC material which will then be processed and reused in some of the company’s products.

In addition to its investment in machinery and increased intake of recyclable material, Barrette Outdoor Living has made improvements to the plant facilities — adding space for an administrative area, new restrooms and an expanded breakroom. Operations at the plant recently moved to 24/7, allowing the company to increase wages for existing employees and create 38 new jobs in Plant City and the surrounding area.

“The investment in our Plant City facility is significant and enables us to achieve faster production without compromising the quality of our vinyl fencing products,” said Jean desAutels, President of Barrette Outdoor Living. “And the expanded intake of recyclable material to our GreenWays program means we are further building on our commitment to reduce CO2 emissions, lower greenhouse gases and decrease landfill waste in local communities.”
